BAD FUEL BREAKS THE 2WD ENGINE

Stage 6: Dakhla – Tiwilit

Liaison: 438 km – Special Stage: 172 km – Liaison: 134 km – Total: 744 km

After a beautiful rest day during which the mechanics of the 2WD team worked in the buggy, the Africa Eco Race 2017 started heading south, to Mauritania.

Unfortunately, the French team, second overall, which was closely chasing the leader, had bad luck and filled the tank with a fuel that damaged the engine after 25 km of the special stage.

“It is a bad day for us, says Thierry Magnaldi, but the mechanics will change it and we will take the start tomorrow. We will do our best to make the most of the special stage…”
